Not sure that was the question. Of course the catch is allowed. But is the succeeding throw home allowed? He touched the floor inside the dugout after the catch. Is this a "fall" and therefore a catch-and-carry? The rule states that the ball is dead if he "falls" into the dugout. What constitutes a fall? It is not defined. Seems to me that using the floor of the dugout to push himself up should be considered a fall.
