NFHS Rules. Championship game of a 18U tournament. Team A courtesy runs for the catcher with #27 in the 2nd inning. In the 3rd inning, Team A courtesy runs for the pitcher with #27. Team B coach asks plate umpire if the same courtesy runner can be used for both. Team A coach brings out his lineup to show the plate umpire. The umpire and Coach of Team A visit, then share a laugh. Plate umpire goes out and confers with his partner. Then base umpire tells Coach B that its summer baseball and they are going to allow it.
