That was the problem with the MLB umpires all along. They abused that liberty and truly believed it was THEIR game. They were above the rules, the players, MLB management and the game.

Therefore what is happening right now, is not about the strike zone or mechanics. Its all about who is going to run the League. MLB mangement or the umpires.

Tens years ago it was the Umpires, now its management. Thats called life. Those that don't want to adjust have the option of working somewhere else.
