Even though another official or a supervisor is of the opinion that handling something in a certain manner is okay that still doesn't make it correct according to the rules. It only means that your personal opinion happens to match theirs. The problem with that path is that such agreement may not be the case for other situations. Hence, we have rules for everyone to follow.
