Rotation Mechanics-IAABO
Hey all-
First year IAABO official, coming from two years of Federation. Had some scrimmages today, and did well, my only issue is rotations.
For all calls in your PCA, assuming ball stays in front court:
With 3 person mechanics, the way I understand rotations, is that if you are lead and call a foul, you report, and then go opposite table. The official opposite table goes to lead, and table side remains table side.
If you are Table side, you report, then go opposite table side, official opposite becomes lead, and former lead then goes table side.
If you are opposite table and call, you report, and then go back to your position, lead stays and table side stays.
Then when administering FTs, lead always is on the table side of the lane.
Am I understanding that correctly?
I have read through my IAABO manual, but I am not sure if I understand this correctly. I asked some vets today, and they further confused me, saying, "Well if you work with me...do this." I am trying to get a base understanding according to the IAABO mechanics.
Thanks in advance!
