Hey Garth, I thought it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Since my participation on the boards is selfishly aimed at learning, rather than teaching, I am often dismayed at the direction some of the discussions wander toward.

If all the respondents stayed within the confines of the subject matter and replied with respect and decency, even if not in agreement with the previous response, there would be no need for monitors.

I have lost interest completely in one of the Umpire type boards which continues to allow Flamers and frustrated self-important posters to screw up an intelligent discussion amongst serious contributors.

If monitoring helps this board survive, it's all right with me.
