Knee Joint and/or Hip Joint Replacement Surgery.

My orthopedic surgeon has told me that I need both my right knee joint and right hip joint replaced. Do to the condition of both joints, he told me that the hip joint has to be replaced first before I can have my knee joint replaced.

I had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee in March 2003 and was not surprised when my doctor told me that my knee joint had to be replaced, but I was surprised with the recent and very quick deterioration of my right hip joint.

I am 65 years old now and the 2016-17 season was my 46th year officiating basketball and Spring 2017 will (or should) be my 25th year of umpiring baseball and fast pitch softball.

None-the-less, I would like to hear from others who have had either (or both) joint(s) replaced, and how did it affect their return to officiating basketball and umpiring baseball and fast pitch softball.
