In other sports like basketball or football, players from both teams are mixed together on the field/court. So uniform rules work to maintain distinct difference visually between the two teams. In baseball, this is not a requirement. There is no restriction for both teams wearing blue because there is no problem for the umpires determining which team each player is on (hint, the one with the glove is on defense).

So NFHS is looser on uniform requirement like compression sleeves. It is only restrictive on the pitcher.
