Gauze come out of nose during action. Play is stopped and trainer, now getting gloves on, comes out to floor to get bloody gauze. A1 gets new gauze in nose and play continues. During next dead ball, A1 is seen adjusting now-bloody gauze with his fingers, potentially getting blood on them. During live ball, gauze comes out again and onto floor. Etc. Or, same scenarios but gauze is not bloody, however it continues to come out on floor during live action.
Too extreme? Probably, but where is the line drawn? I have seen both ends of it and every official treats the situation differently, all of whom dislike it.

You're changing the situation. If it is visibly blood-soaked, I'm not allowing it.
