What did you think of the rule changes?

The changes are minimal this year. It's a good thing too, I'm too old for wholesale change. I do like the clarification that allows us to restart in the center when the wrestlers get near the edge. I hate edge wrestling it is anti-action and the staller always seems to look like he is doing all the work because the shot carrys them both out of bounds.

I would have liked it if the back flip stayed legal.

There was actually a highlight of a kid last year doing a backflip and then pinning a kid that was on the Yahoo home page for days and made the national news. It was positive publicity for the sport.

But I definitely understand why they made the change due to safety.

I like that the choice in overtime goes to the wrestler's opponent who has been charged w/unsportsmanlike.
