tracking back row players
anybody have any tips on how to keep track of the setter and other back row players that they would like to share? thanks

Identify the setter and her opposite player. Always make sure there are two players in the rotation between them.
Observe what kind of offense the team is running. Some teams play two setters with the setter always being a back row player. If the team only uses one setter, you will need to track her all the way around the court. If the team has one or more big hitters that stay in the game when they rotate to the back row, make sure that you know when they are back row if the team still likes to set them from the back row. It is my observation, at least in HS play, that most back row faults are committed by a back row setter. |
