Very basic libero quesiton

I hate to ask this, because after 4 seasons I should know this.

Libero can't complete an attack hit from anywhere if the ball is entirely above the level of the net at contact.

A teammate of the libero can't complete an attack hit if the previous hit was a set using the libero using finger action while the libero was in front of the attack line.

Can the libero complete an attack hit while in front of the attack line if the ball is below the top of the net? I could have sworn that the answer was no, and my partner today even confirmed that the answer is no, but now I don't see anything about that in NCAA Rule 12?!?!?

No attack, by any player, is ever illegal unless the contact takes place while the ball is entirely above the net. Ever.

In short, legal play.

Unless, of course, the ball is completely on the opponent's side of the net..:)

...in which case you'd better not be signalling illegal attack. :)
