Libero (NFHS)
I realize that the Libero can not be on the playing court for all rotaion of services. Thus, can they be designated as the floor/playing captain? Thus when s/he is not on the court there will be a different captain until the Libero re enters onto court.
Rule states that Libero can be 'Team Captain'. Then there is another rule that talks about floor/playing captain. Is there a difference? |
Zoochy, don't think to hard on this one. You are correct in that the Libero can be team/floor captain. When Libero is off the court, another captain needs to be designated by the coach. When the Libero returns, s/he becomes captain again.
|
zoochy, since the Libero is not considered as one of the six starters, although s/he may be be the captain while on the court, one of the six players who start on the court must be designated as the captain when the Libero is off the court.

Is the rule the same in NCAAW?
