I know this is going to sound dumb, but my daughter just started playing volleyball in junior high. Quesiton is, are the lines in or out. Every where we go they usually have locals reffing and it seems pretty inconsisent. So if the ball lands on the line, whats the call? Thanks in advance.

There's never a dumb question. Actually, volleyball is one of the few sports where the lines are in - maybe derived from tennis (??).
Any time the ball hits the line, even the outer edge of the line - it is in.

:rolleyes: Yes to the lines being "IN". But the antenna is out! Baseball & softball also have the lines "IN"!:)

Good luck with the rest of the volleyball rules. As a parent, buy a rule book and read up on it. Volley ball is a little different if you have not been around it before. Good luck. It is fast pace and fun to watch and officiate:D .
