Two unrelated questions

First, pretty darn good Men's Nat'l Final tonight. 5 sets (are they still called "games" in Men's rules?) and back and forth the whole way. After the teams switched sides midway through the 5th set, the USC player served before the R1 beckoned. Kind of a funny moment, as you could see the R1 point to his whistle, which was still hanging from the lanyard and say "I never blew the whistle".

Ok, two situations.

1) First set of a match. Tied at 24-24. Team A wins the next point. Apparently, they are not used to winning, because they start celebrating, thinking they've won the set. It took probably about 30 seconds for us to get them to realize the set wasn't over. Question: would anyone consider a delay warning for this? Obviously not intentional, but also an obvious delay.

2) Fifth set. Team A scores to make the score 8-6. As the teams are changing sides, the coach asks the R2 for a time-out. Several questions: (a) When is the correct time to grant the time-out request? (b) Do you blow the whistle right away or wait for the teams to finish changing sides? (c) If you blow right away, do you let them finish changing sides or do you instruct the teams to remain where they were for the time-out? (d) If you do not blow the whistle while they're changing sides, do you require the coach to make the request again (since it's now the proper time)? (e) Is the coach request an improper request, since they're already changing sides? (f) Does any of this change depending on whether Coach A (whose team just scored) or Coach B makes the time-out request?

Thanks.
