Re-serve in HS

This play was described to me last night. It didn't actually happen to me.

Team A wins a point and rotates to serve. A1 moves to Position 1 and R1 beckons for serve. A1 tosses the ball for serve and lets it drop. R1 signals a re-serve.

Before R1 beckons for the re-serve, it is discovered that A1 is not the correct server.

Is Team A allowed to put the correct server in to perform the re-serve? Or is there an out-of-rotation fault because incorrect server started the term of service? Or. . . what?
