Substitutions -- Which Team First

Subs from both teams enter the sub zone. Whom do you let in first (e.g., home, left, serving) and whom do you hold? Is it just random? Is it just personal preference, or is there some guidance on this?

You can do it in whatever order you want. Just make sure your scorer records the subs in the order you authorize them to enter. I generally let them in in the order they arrive, and if they arrive at the same time, I let them in like I read, left to right.

I was told it didn't matter what the order was, but that I should try not to do it the same way every time. That way, one team doesn't feel like you're making them wait every time. I don't know if they actually feel that way, but that's what I was advised.
