Two Liberos; One Jersey
A team has only one libero jersey.
The coach wants one person (Adam) to be the libero in the first set and another person (Bill) to be the libero during the second set. The coach submits a rooster with both players listed with the same libero jersey number (Adam 4/L1; Bill 8/L1). Between sets, Bill and Adam leave the court and Bill puts on the libero jersey. Allowed? Allowed with a roster change penalty? Not allowed? (assume the lineups are properly submitted to reflect this change) |
I don't like the idea of two people wearing the same number. And I don't know if there's a case play that addresses this. But in real life, as long as the opposing team is made aware that it's a different person, I don't see what the problem would be.
