When I'm R2, I always double-tweet to distinguish myself from the R1's whistle. (In fact, I do this so religiously that when I'm R1 and need to blow for what is usually the R2's call, I sometimes double-tweet out of habit.)

However, I've seen people post on Facebook, that this is not correct for FED. Double-tweet by the R2 is only used for subs and TOs. Single-tweet for whistles to end a rally.

Is that correct?

And double-tweet to call the captains for the deciding set coin toss.

But, yes, singe tweet for faults.

Blech.

If that's the sound your whistle makes, you need to clean it out. ;)
