Non-compliant Solid Colored L Uniform

NFHS - Situation: Team A has 10 players dressed to start the match with legal, non-solid colored uniforms. The Officials notice during warmups that the Team A Libero Jersey has 2” wide stripes running down each side of her uniform. They deem that uniform to be non-compliant with the solid colored uniform rule.

If both the main team uniform and the Libero uniform are non compliant at the start of the match when the Libero wants to replace a backrow player what is the proper procedure? preventive officiating has already taken place as well. Coach was notified.

Is she allowed to enter the set with an illegal uniform? If she doesn’t enter the team has 6 legal uniforms and they are good to go.

I say the L is not allowed to play until that uniform is made compliant.. Others here are hanging on the penalty under Rule Section 4-2 that says, "if a team cannot begin the match with six players wearing legal uniform, a loss rally/point shall be awarded to the opponent and the state association notified.. and carry on with the match with that illegal L uni.

The L is not allowed to play until the jersey is compliant.

There's a difference between "compliant" and "legal." The clause the others are referencing is there to allow the match to go on, albeit wiht a penalty to the offending team. In your situation, the match can still go on, just without the L.
