New USAV Net Rules??
 

I just downloaded the new 2015-17 DCR for indoor VB.

Has USAV adopted the recent FIVB's changes for Contact with the Net (11.3) and Player's fault at the net (11.4)?

The reason I ask, is there is no indication of a different USAV rule except for USAV 11.4.3 regarding foot fault.

The way I read it, it has. I just want to get some confirmation.

Generally if there's not a USAV version of the rule, it means they're adopting the FIVB rule. My understanding is they'll go with the new FIVB rule.

Of course, nothing's official until the clinics...

Thanks for your response. That is my understanding as well.

Unfortunately, our HS season start next week and we use USAV here in Korea for the DOD (US Military) Schools and International School.

The Conference had asked the Referee Associations to enforce the FIVB rule this year because of safety concerns with the apparent increase in injuries since USAV /FIVB had changed the rules a few years back.

We support their decision and will enforce any rule that they ask of us. Now that it appears it will be in the USAV rule, it will eliminate confusion on the part of the officials, coaches, and players. You know as well as I, there is always someone that actually will read the rule book, but not the supplemental rules and complain because we are not enforcing the rule the correct way.
