I wonder if sprinters are infact really getting faster or whether it is the drug programmes which are improving? Do the types of tracks also contribute significantly to times sprinters run?

First off im a sprinter for my high school team class AA (big school division) Yes sprinters are getting faster, but not because of drug programs. Thats a chep shot at all competitor runners. While I know it happens not every one does it. Its just now these days people are putting in more time getting better the old fashioned way. I feel that track types can influence times for example I would rather run on an all weather track rather than a cinder track anyday

Of course they are fast...

Of course they are faster than in a past time,
but not only becaue the new drugs,
but because a lot of things like,
spikes ( ideal to his owner ), track surface ( hard & fast ) and most of all because of the new train technics.
