Folks,
Any suggestions for a new pistol?
Anyone using the "cap gun"?
Which holster do you like hip or shoulder?
Thanks. ;)

Mick,

I have used the cap gun for years, but either the quality of shells has gone down or the ones M-F sells me have. I had so many duds last year it was starting to become embarassing.

This year I got a .22 from Galyans. It is steel, feels pretty heavy and durable, and for what it was worth the sales guy reccomended it (surprise!).

I forget the brand, but I'll look and let you know. It can handle the longer shells and the crimps (great for MS meets)Plus it was only like $70, which I thought was a good price for a steel gun.

Starters Pistol

Mick-I have both a .22 and .32 cal pistol made by "New England Firearms". They have been very dependable in over 6 years of use. They run in the $100-$125 range but are well worth it. If you need a place to order from let me know. I use the hip holster, the shoulder holster to me is a little too obvious plus on cool days you need to wear a jacket or sweater over the holster making retrieving it somewhat awkward...

Don,
Yes, I would like to know where to go.
And what is the difference, or benefit, of the .22 or .32?
Is there a waiting period on something like this?
Thanks.
