I recently completed in the Javelin at the Sunflower State Games and was told the rules had changed to allow age 65-69 to throw the 500 gram Javelin. I can't find the rules change anywhere. Can anyone confirm the change and refer me to the actual rule change. Thanks!

Bill,
Looks like they have allowed the use of WAVA implement weights in your meet.

#### I read the chart wrong, a 500g Javelin would be for the 70-79 age group even for WAVA. 600g would be for 60-69 age group.

Take a look at section 262 in your 2001 USATF rules book.
It is also viewable at http://www.USATF.ORG/about/rules
