I was wondering what the rule is for someone who slips off the block when starting and injures him/herself? Lets say that they are about 12 feet down their lane screaming in pain (leg injury) and in obvious need medical attention. When, if at any time, do you kill the event and get swimmers out?

Have you seen that situation happen before? Or do you have too much time on your hands

Give me some time and I'll see if I can dig up the answer... Good Question anyways

Too much time!

Swimmer in lane 3 slips on the block and hits leg hard on side of pool in the 200 freestyle.
