Hopefully a few people actually reply to this, it has been dead for a while.

I was wondering if swimming officials(track also I guess) ever use real guns for meets; obviously using blanks, for starts, the 500, recalls, etc. I have a real crappy starting pistol but falls apart now and then, and is not reliable. But I also have a couple of reliable Glocks, and I can get blanks for them pretty easily.

So I guess I was wondering what people say about this, like the legalities (how I could make it legal; like painting one clip orange for blanks only, wrapping orange tape around the end of the barrell). Ideas, anything?

i would definetly NOT do this it sounds dangerous and illiegal to bring a fire arm to a swimming event. By a new starters pistol. And on legaities no actual firearm can be brought onto school property in most states

Did you just really ask if you can bring a Glock into a swim meet....is your Uzi in the shop ?

My uzi has a hair trigger!

I'll think I'll just stick with my basic starting pistol, just throwin' around things.
