Two Oldies But Goodies Last Night.....
 

....both on the same pitch!

Mens strict Modified league (no bending of the elbow, arm can only go to 90 degrees, etc, etc.). Home is already beating up on the visitors, and the visiting pitcher, who has been inconsistent all night is up. 0-2 count, and the other P throws a nice nasty pitch on the inside corner, about belly high. I bang him out, and get the following:

'you can't call that on a pitcher!' :confused:

and the tried and true, 'you haven't given me that all night!' :rolleyes:

and the summer is just starting guys....:D

First slow pitch tournament, first batted ball lands five feet in foul ground.

"I saw chalk!":rolleyes:

a) I might not call it on the catcher, but I just did call it on a pitcher, so I guess I can!!

b) You haven't made that pitch all night, so I couldn't "give" it to you.

c) And it could be a short summer for you, my friend.

Must have missed the different strike zone for pitcher paragraph Umpires don't "give" calls, they make them

Well, just goes to show you stupidity isn't seasonal :)

Then of course, had a school game the other day where the visitors were pretty good, and the home very bad. So it took two hours to get to T4 with the visitors up 20-0 :(. Home F6 makes a nice tag on a runner - except the glove is EMPTY, the ball being in her RIGHT hand. So....of course, after I make the proper safe call, one of the home fans gives me the old and moldy, "Hey blue - you're missing a good game out there!" :confused::confused::confused:

I just took a look over in the general direction, and sadly shook my head....

You should say "where is it?" ;)

And guess what - today I have that team - AGAIN - on the road....and this is the team in my other thread which forgot their equipment and had to double back.....
