I'll be in Chicago the next couple of days, but much to my disappointment, so will have the baseball freaks in this country as the pre-AllStar games activities begin on Friday.

Worse yet, come to find out that the hotel at which I am residing is frequented by visiting baseball teams.

And here I was anticipating a nice, restful weekend of food and drink without much ado!

I hope I don't have to throw any of those pansy baseball players out this weekend! :D

teams involved from ages 10U through 18U with the majority
being 18U's still trying to qualify for the Nationals two
weeks from this weekend.

BTW - Anyone on this board going to be there from either OK,
or LA. I hear we will have several umpires from both states.

Showcase? At this time of year? Most coaches are gearing up for the National all coming up in the next month.

Just seems like a strange time to do this.
