How about posting a "sticky" which says "the only thing different about an infield fly is the batter is out" ?

I think that would be TORATIFFS

Infield is one word, and therefore should be abbreviated with "I". This would make the abbreviation for Infield Fly Rule "IFR".

For those of us who are former military, we know "IFF" as "Identification Friend or Foe", used in aircraft transponders.

tcannizzo Tue Jul 17, 2012 08:31am

OK, here we go.
Other normal abbreviations include 'OF' for Outfield and 'IF' for Infield.
I still will go with IFF.:p

And, if anyone knows acronyms, it's the military.

Just curious, did you ever serve in the ADCOMSUBORDCOMPHIBSPAC? :D
