Texas High School State Championship

Fox College Sports carried the Texas High School 4a and 5a state championship games on TV so I recorded them. They are playing on UTs home field in Austin.

I am noticing that there is a black line drawn from about a third of the way up the foul lines on both 1B and 3B sides, running straight back into foul ground, then diagonally around the back of the catcher's box to the other foul line.

Is this just a decorative line with no meaning or is there some significance to this line?
