Introductions!

Hi everyone!

I didn't see an area for new members to introduce themselves, so here it goes!

My name is Bill, and I am certified for ASA slow pitch. I currently work on Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO. I am just starting out in my umpiring career. I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Community and Commercial Recreation. During my college years, I worked as an intramural supervisor, where my main duties were to train the officials and schedule leagues.

I don't have any playing experience from high school, but I play a ton of slow pitch and I love it. Being an ump has made me much better of a sport when I play, haha

Moving on to become an umpire has been fun and challenging. I am hoping through both experience and using my resources I will become a better ump.

Good luck. Try to get some Co-Ed and Seniors experience as well as Men's then maybe next year try some Youth fastpitch if that's what you enjoy.
BTW- The first 2 years are the hardest.

Welcome

Welcome,
I spent one year at Fort Carson, back in the day. Enjoy the forum and don't let any of the grumpy old men run you off.
