Base Awards?
 
NFHS rules. Runner on first. Batter hits a fly ball to second base which is caught, then a throw to first to attempt to get the runner on first heading back to first. The ball gets by the first baseman and rolls out of play. Where does the runner on first end up? I am thinking a two base award and she should be on 3rd? My partner thinks 1 base award and second base. Help? I can't seem to find the exact ruling in the book.

8-4-3-F 2 bases from the time of throw. Also, runner must complete baserunning responsibilities. Even though they were awarded 2 bases they must still tag up at 1st or are subject to appeal by the defense.
