Senior Slowpitch Pitching (6 foot box)
In senior ASA play the pitcher may deliver a pitch from anywhere within the box is my understanding. The question: The pitchers presents the ball while standing at the back of the box. He starts walking and delivers the ball on his 3rd step still within the box. Is he required to take only 1 step or no steps to deliver the pitch after his stop and presentation or is he allowed to walk into his delivery? I'm thinking "illegal pitch, ball" since this motion could confuse a batter. I've got guys arguing the opposite that it's legal because it's "senior ball" with a box, not a rubber.
