What are the requirements for an umpire to enter the ASA HOF?

Good, that means there will not be a problem when they ask for you admission fee.

I appreciate the humor, but I seriously want this question answered. I know of an umpire who, in my opinion, deserves to be in the Hall. However, I don't think this person will ever be inducted because of politics. I just want to know if there are any requirements or if induction is based solely on personal opinion of the powers that be.

The qualifications can be found here:

Exlporist:

They have the requirements listed on the ASA website. However, here they are for you, assuming an umpire:

Umpire:

The nominee must have umpired fifteen (15) years and in at least five (5) ASA national championships.

A nomination form must be submitted. That form can be found here: ASA HOF Nomination Form

Hof

Several years ago I was given the responsibility of nominating an umpire for the HOF. From my experience it takes an extremely qualified official to make it in. It is not a "good ol boys club". It shouldn't be.

Well, the umpire I'd like to nominate has 44 years experience. I'm not sure how many ASA National Championships this umpire has worked, but I do know this person was at the top of the game and has since trained several of our NCAA umpires around the area.
