My daughters "minors" playoff game todayASA 11-12's. We are at a beuatiful field, nice grassy knoll behind the dish, got the dual fold out chairs set up, nice and sunny. My assignor has the plate, I get handed the remote for the scoreboard, cool. Only took me 2 innings to figure the darn thing out:D Then, foul over backstop coming down on me, I do the cool barehand umpire snag. Then I yell to PU, "Ball in", I go to throw ball over backstop and as I do, I am stepping downward. Ball hits backstop and I am getting clowned. My response, "Now you know why I ump!". PU comes back with, "Don't tell people that, <b> I</b> can still throw a ball!" Laughter erupts, great moment......we lost, 7-4...great season, however....
