ASA girls 12U
Reading posts for the last 18 months concerning look backs, I need a clarification on base on balls in this situation.

No runners on base. B1 receives ball four and makes her way to 1B. Ball returned to F1 in the circle and F1 at no time makes a play on the runner.
Can B1 round first base stop anywhere between 1B and 2B and return to first without being called out?

Yes. She gets one stop.

After she rounds and stops, she must then immediately either proceed toward 2B or return to 1B. Any further stop or reversal between bases and she's out (unless the pitcher makes a play).

OK. maybe this one can be a short thread, considering greymule done answered it. And explained it very good too. :)

Making a play...

Greymule:
I only do LL Softball currently. Does ASA consider a fake throw by the pitcher to be a play on the runner?

Hey, Serge, you were saying? ASA considers ANYTHING the pitcher does to which, in the umpire's judgment, the runner reacts a play.

OK....learned my lesson....never again will I say....end of thread..... :)

BTW....here's one that I don't think I ever saw before....Home team at bat....no outs...runner on 2B.....Batter strikes out...AFTER the ball is returned to F1 (who is in the pitcher's circle), the infield comes into the circle and start high-fiving the pitcher....while F1 has the ball in her possession (and control of it, obviously), R1 takes three steps off the bag...BU calls R1 out....3B coach questions the call, saying.....

"BUT BLUE, DOESN'T A TEAM MEETING IN THE CIRCLE REMOVE THE LOOK BACK RULE?"
