Hi all!

As a coach, I have a question regarding USSSA cutoff dates and baserunning as we're considering a tournament in a few weeks.

What are the cutoff dates to determine league age in USSSA?

Unlike ASA, it seems that USSSA allows stealing/advancing of multiple bases on passed balls and stealing of home (like Little League) - is this correct?

Thanks in advance!

PS, thanks Tom for the ASA books - they were very helpful!!!

You are correct. In USSSA the only two things that
are not used are, infield fly rule is not in effect
and the D3K rule. Rule 8 Sec 12 Note: and Rule 9
Sec 2 A.

Glad the books helped.

Glen, sorry for the name misconstrusion. The books did help as I'm trying to compare what I work in LL verse ASA and now USSSA. I now will attempt to coach in some USSSA and later down the road maybe work a game or two. It's certainly a learning process. Again, thanks for the books and for your replies to this board that helps us newbies learn the ropes!

A player's age on January 1, of the current year determines the age classification in which the player is eligible to participate in USSSA. Incidentally, they post their rule book online at
http://info.usssa.com/usssa/usssa-ge...FPRulebook.htm
if you have any other questions.
