Reposting, had incorrectly typed main portion of question. Thanks.
Situation: Batter bunts from left of plate. Ball rolls to right side of plate in FAIR territory and sits within the portion of batter's box to right of plate. BR heads towards first and kicks the ball foul. Is batter out? |
If batter is out of box, and the ball is in fair territory, batter-runner is out.
|
The ball within the batter's box, but not on the side of the box for which the batter hit.
|
then ball is fair, has not passed an infielder, batter is out

Steve,
We have a tournament in Beaumont tomorrow through Sun. Have several La. umpires coming. Morgan Maynard, Torey Brown, Buck Carrier, Romero Chavis and Gene Lore. Know any of them? I have worked with all of them for about eight years now. glen |
Glen,
Don't know them. In some of the tournaments I've been in as a coach, I've probably run into them but didn't catch their names. I'm a newbee to this and do little league only (for now). Looking forward to doing more and more as I go. |
