Situation: Line drive heading foul to right of 1st baseline, F3 standing in fair territory, reaches to catch ball, ball hits glove and bounces fair. Is this a fair ball?

I believe the rule is since the ball was over foul territory, the call is a foul ball. I heard this before, but the call is supposed to be a fair or foul BALL, not a fair or foul PLAYER.

If the fielder contacts the ball over foul territory, its a foul ball regardless of where she was standing or even if she knocks it into fair territory. DanIn
