A purchase decision, presumably.

You'd probably get more information on this kind of question for a board frequented by players and coaches.

Try here.

Hello

Its been a while since I have used blue dots and red dots.(1983 -1986)
These balls have a solid core. In college Mens slow pitch, we used them all the time. These balls are great to hit. (Lots of Homeruns.)There are drawbacks though. We usually went through 2 or 3 during practice. (the cores turn to powder) Also it is very dangerous for the pitcher. These balls will explode off the bat. red dots are more lively than blue dots. I'm not sure, but I think they are illegal to play with in organized ball. I hope I have been helpfull. Have a great game.

After the first week of our season these balls hold up and fly a mile. We had one team with the Miken Ultra II bats hit a couple over 350 feet.
