Tie breaker

Was doing a tournament some people I had not met before and in the dressing room on an off game, a fellow related this story... It was a new one on me had me chuckling the rest of the day....:):):)

So, it's a tie breaker situation. Top of the 10th...
Visitors place the runner at second and score her.
Inning ends.
Home team puts a runner on second and visiting team comes out.

He claims that the score is no longer tied so the home team can not put a runner on second!!!!

OMG:D

Had the exact argument from a rec ball coach (12U) this season! First time I heard it as well. Luckily the wife was my partner and got to 'splain it to him. I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face!

Here is a similar story...

Men's FP tournament, Mercy rules of 12 after 3, 8 after 5.

Top of the fourth inning, visiting team scores 3 runs to make the score 15-3 in their favor....as the 15th run crosses the plate, they start to file out of their dugout...after a few seconds, one of the players looks at me (BU) and says..."we're up by 12, it's after the third inning, that's game, right, Blue?"

Uhhh, no, guys...please return to your dugout. We need to finish this inning....
