I was told by an acquaintance about 20 years ago that was an NCAA Div 1 referee that:

Referees whistle whilst they whork.

Yeah - most of you guys have probably heard it before.

I admit - when I umpired nothing more than men's league play, I used the phrase "my time". But that was a few years ago. Now, it's just like home - nothing is "mine".:D
