Been asked to do NSA Qualifier this coming weekend in the
big city [Houston] and I don't have a clue where I can find
their rules so I can print and review..Best thing in my
favor is....it is softball....

Just recevied my schedule for the NSA tournament and I sent
back e-mail asking UIC for a little on the rules...He told
me the big thing was that for obstruction/interference there
had to be contact!!!

I printed a copy of the 2002 NSA rules from on-line and saw
no such thing...If even allows for verbal interference which
naturally you could have.

This might be an interesting tournament...I know that they
are allowed a zillion players on lineup what with being
able to utilize two EP's and a DH. I was also advised that
my partner is a rookie with exactly four games experience.

Wow, Glen, and with a green, green Newbie!! You'll have to tell us how it went. I also want to commend you on how proficient you are with all the little smilies and such. It's way too hard for me.
Well, I'm not umpiring today but I'm collecting $$ at the gate. Our high school is hosting the Regionals. Oh well, at least I won't have to pay admission! Our high school won the 8-AAAAA so we're the host. I'll let y'all know if we go to state.
