Sounds like a bruise or tendonitis.
Ice and advil. Try taping it to minimize aggravation during games. I usually get a pain in the *** during games ;-)

Is it in a concentrated area or kind of all over on that part of the foot? If it is concentrated, it could be metatarsal overload. I have that on the second metatarsal and it hurts. The symptoms can flare up if you wear too narrow of shoes. Check the length of your second toe, if it is too long in comparison to your big toe, that can also put extra load on that metatarsal head. Definitely need new shoes if they feel too snug. What size shoe do you normally wear? Regular or wides?

Dave I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views! Screw green, it ain't easy being blue! I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again. |
