....umpiring actually HELPS your eyesight! Haven't had a new lens prescription for a while, so I went for an exam, cause I need new glasses. Anyways, my prescription for distance part of my eyesight(yes I have progressive lenses) actually IMPROVED a small bit over my last time!! Considering I am fiftymumble, that is actually astounding! The D.O. said that the quick focusing/refocusing at the distance part of the eyesight actually strengthens those muscles a little bit....

so ANOTHER good reason to ump....

Strangely enough I just had my annual exam and the prescription on the old bifocals was lessened on both parts. Didn't get the explanation you got, but as a type 2 diabetic it was good news. Sounds logical that the eye has muscles in it and we are giving them good exercise.:eek:
