Wow...I didn't know that!

A big loss...I had heard about a month ago that he was not in good health...thoughts and prayers to family and friends!

Thoughts to all his family, friends and the entire Nevada softball community. A loss of a great man.

Our long time friend and fellow umpire and UIC from Las Vegas, Jim Lykins passed Sunday morning from complications from surgery. Many of you know him. I had the pleasure of working with him many times and will miss his big heart he had and his love for softball.

The Services will be Thursday July 29th at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W Charleston (Rancho & Charleston)....Viewing 10 - 11, Services @ 11, then he will be laid to rest in Boulder City at Veterans Memorial. Umpires have your option of wearing your uniform (or not), dark blue if you want....just make sure your shoes are shined ! ! !....Please spread the news, this is quite difficult on a short notice

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Jim Lykins Memorial Fund with Nevada State Bank..account number 0588011247. This fund will be set aside for umpire travel expenses to National Schools and maybe tournaments. Something Jimmy wanted done some time ago.
