After making call that ends undefeated season, ump gets invited to banquet
 
At 7 p.m. Monday, Bill Dithrich was sitting at a banquet to which he never thought he would get an invitation.

Kudos to the team for extending this olive branch, and kudos to the umpire for making a tough call at a tough moment.

If only other teams would follow suit, especially for those on this board who have not had such fortune in the press when making the right call. No names.
