Ep boo

So, I was reading the EP rule last night ... It says that if an EP is not listed but used that the EP is to be treated as BOO. Then it gives a set of rules similar to but not identical to batting out of order that left me confused.

Questions:
How does one determine that it is an EP and not an unreported substitute?
How long after an EP scores can the run be nullified?
What does one do if the EP gets out?
If the next batter takes a pitch who is the correct next batter?
What if the offense wants to substitute in the correct batter on the bases before the defense notices?

Closed book answer.
If there is no EP on the lineup, then there is no EP, so anyone batting and not reported is an unreported sub and can not be an EP.
I don't see BOO because the player was never in the batting order to determine where "batting in order" would be.

When you open it you're going to find a whole (worthless?) rule about using an EP without listing one :(

In ASA, wouldn't this be an ILLEGAL PLAYER instead of UNREPORTED SUB? Unless of course, they were substituting for the next legal batter, just didn't report in.

Yeah, that's the one, it's just so cryptic I couldn't get anything out of it.
