Once in a life time... ok I can quit!
Today I was working a DH nearby Rotterdam. The club just opend their new diamond today. That's fun to work the dish.
In the second game, the visitors got all bases loaded, no out's. And YES, I've got to call as BU 2 outs in a triple play! Earned, as in no stupid running or other mistakes by offense. F5 catches a line-drive, tags R1 about a meter in front of 3th base and assits on the out on 1st base. R3 was just to late back on 1st base... I never thought that I would see this, nor that I would call in a triple play. So I can quit now... |

Well let me see: My son plays rugby U9-team, they and the rest of the club are in need for referee's. Don't know the game very well, but I can learn that... I'm in my 3th (of 4) year for a Bachelor-degree in Chemistry. That's taking a lot of spare time as well. But I think to stick around just a bit more... maybe, just maybe I can make it to the ISF:o and/or I can tease you all!:D |
Cool!! I have seen a triple play 3 times all done by the same team. I have ALMOST been involved in one playing first base.......if the throw would have been just a split second faster.......

Had a guy last year bragging about getting a triple play in a game he was calling.
He started by saying, "I got the first one out on obstruction"....and I don't remember the rest of the scenario, but all I could say was "your kidding me!" Need to do some more training down here! |

The other day a runner rounded 1st and F3 was in her way. Her dugout yelled "INTERFERENCE", so I called her out. :) |
Well, even if he confused his terms... interference IS an immediate dead ball and makes outs 2 and 3 kind of hard to come by for that triple play.
