2010 ASA Rule Book

R/S 50. Printing problem.

There's a sentence missing between pages. 2009 book has it correct.

Buttermaker found it.

The change to the illegal substitute rule isn't complete. They fixed the detection timeframe but the penalty still refers to a batted ball. At least it's progress.

4-6-C-3 I think. But my rule book is at home. I'll do better for you tomorrow.

There is no reference to a batted ball.

Yeah, it is 4-6-C-3, see the effect section. All runners are returned to their position prior to the batted ball. Which is fine if they advance because of a batted ball, but a little weird if they advanced because of a U3K or walked. (Not that anybody is going to be confused about how to do it now.)

Well, I can't do it all.

Yes, I see where that is in the "effect", but I think it is clear enough to get the point across.

Agreed, it's not confusing at all and I appreciate the change. :)
